UltraStar is a karaoke program, similar to Singstar, which in addition to giving the possibility of singing the text that is appearing on the screen (like other karaoke programs), has as a novelty that the application itself is responsible for evaluating the performance of the singer.
UltraStar returns a score that will be greater when it is better tuned, honed and followed by the rhythm of the melody being played. After each turn, you get a score and some guidelines that can be helpful for a next session in which the same song should be performed.
It can compete between several players (from one to one), but also supports up to 6 simultaneous players (a microphone is required for each) singing chorus.
There are sites to share files already synchronized, suitable for UltraStar, or can be purchased from the same application through its own store. The contents must be copied to the Songs folder that is inside the folder where the application is installed.
UltraStar Deluxe 1.1 is the latest version, updated in September 2012, which can be downloaded free to use under Windows (7, Vista or XP).
