Scribus is a program used to create digital publications. It is similar to products like QuarkXPress, ageMaker, or Adobe InDesign, but with the advantage of being Open Source free. It can be used to make and lay out newspapers, magazines, newsletters, books, brochures, manuals, etc; And save them as PDF, EPS or other supported graphic formats. Allows you to import jobs in SVG format (vector graphics).
Scribus is a WYSIWYG type editor (allows you to view results while editing). It allows to combine text and images, and has special controls for typography, being able to easily organize each page (number of columns, distribution, type of fonts, etc.). It allows effects that are not possible with common editors and are necessary to obtain a professional-looking publication.
Scribus can be used to generate simple PDF documents, but also allows you to generate advanced PDF documents, you can create animated and interactive presentations, include forms, and many more options.
It supports the CMYK color system (cyan, magenta, yellow, black), used in the commercial printing of newspapers and other publications.
The Scribus installation package includes some templates, but in the official site there are several more templates that can be downloaded and incorporated into the application.
