FreeRIP MP3 is a program that allows you to convert songs from a CD to MP3. The conversion of songs from a common music CD into a compressed format, in this case MP3, is known as ripping.
The advantage is that MP3 files take up less space and can be played on the PC, mobile devices (phones, iPods, MP3 players, etc.), and on most modern audio devices that already support that format.
In addition to MP3, it supports other formats also compressed, like WMA, Ogg, Wav and FLAC. The latter is a format that manages to maintain the same sound quality as the original CD, and is used more and more, for example in songs that are sold over the Internet.
With this program you can not only rip CDs, but also allows you to convert the format of the mentioned audio files, supporting multiple combinations; For example, you can switch from MP3 to WAV, from WMA to MP3, MP3 to FLAC, and other variants.
FreeRIP can be used to edit the tags ( tags ) of MP3 files, supporting ID3 v1 and v2 formats. In case you are not sure if the title or some other tag of a song is correct, the application can search the Internet for that information and update it with valid data.
Another function we can find in this software is the ability to create playlists, supporting the following formats: M3U, PLS, B4S, HTML and CSV. Lastly we will mention a new tool that has been recently incorporated, which serves to record music on compact discs.
FreeRIP MP3 4.4 is the latest version, updated in August 2013, of this ripping and converter software that can be downloaded free in Spanish for use in Windows (8, 7, Vista, XP).
A FreeRIP MP3 tutorial is available in Spanish, accessible from the official site of the application.
IMPORTANT: During the installation you have the option to add a toolbar for the browser, and we recommend not to check that option, just like we do for all software that offers similar tools.
