Zapyo is a program that allows access to a service that offers free anonymous browsing, something that can be useful when you need to use a streaming service, such as Netflix, in a country where it is not enabled or in which it presents Restrictions.
Zapyo installs itself as a complement to the most popular browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari, among others. Installation is simple, fast and secure; While in terms of service it is presented as a stable, easy-to-use and fairly efficient option when attempting to access blocked services or sites in some countries.
There are devices that add internet connection on a TV and that include access to various movie services over the internet, whether paid or not; But in many cases there is the problem of a geographical restriction that prevents it from being connected from outside the United States, England or whatever country it may be.
Faced with this problem, it is possible to resort to some technologies, among which we can mention the following:
- Virtual Private Network ( VPN )
- It is a safe option to connect to the internet as if you were in another country. There is a wide range of providers, who usually offer a free trial month, but at the end of that evaluation period will require a monthly payment to continue to enjoy the service.
- Proxy Server.
- It is another option to connect to the Internet hiding the IP address (identifier of the country in which the user is located), in order to make the server believe that the user is in the country where the proxy server is located. This type of server may present some disadvantages, for example that the data is not secure (although it would not be something relevant for this purpose) and may be somewhat slow (something that would affect the performance in the transmission of content). Also it is not 100% sure that they can not detect the source IP. The advantage is that they are usually free.
Zapyo comes within the category of the second option mentioned, but it has the advantage that it offers servers located in several countries, with good bandwidth, and, most important, free.
The user will be able to connect to dedicated servers located in 11 different countries: United States, England, Spain, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Holland and Switzerland.
This app is accessed from an icon located on the browser bar. The first time it opens, the user is redirected to the official website of his developer, where he will have to create a (free) account.
We offer to download and install version 0.86 for Chrome and version 0.15.1 for Firefox browser.
